Volunteer

Our homes and families are always in need of specific resources and stocking our homes is one of the first steps of welcoming families into their new home. Coordinating a supply drive for these needed resources is one way of graciously volunteering your time and giving back to the community. Check out our Donation Needs to see what is currently most in need.

Our birthday program is a complete surprise for the children in our programs where volunteers have the opportunity to sponsor a child to purchase gift(s) for. In addition, our Partner Nothing Bundt Cakes will also provide a birthday cake for each child on their birthday.

Our Welcome Home Program provides essentials for our families coming out of homelessness to get started in their new home. As a Welcome Home Program Sponsor, we would provide family size and a list of the essentials they are currently in need of (typically consists of bedding, dishes, cookware, and some other household items) for you to purchase. We will provide a laundry basket for the items to go in and a Welcome Home sign. If interested in being a sponsor, complete a volunteer form and we will provide more details of one of our families in the program.

Each Christmas we want to spread the holiday cheer to our families by providing them with new/unused gifts, clothes, and general household needs. Through our Adopt-A-Family program we provide a list of each family member’s clothing size, needs, and wants. If you would like to participate in this program, complete a volunteer form and we will keep your contact information available to share information on families, deadlines, and location for drop off as we draw closer to the event.

We strive to determine innovative ideas to help homeless families.  If you’re interested in being part of future projects not yet identified, complete a volunteer form and we’ll keep your information to share our future volunteer opportunities not already determined. If you already have an idea of something you would like to do to assist families facing homelessness, connect with us to discuss the parameters of your project idea.  We can determine its feasibility and track your hours if needed.
