I’m posting this for a good friend of mine who had a family member that lost their job and their house due to health problems. After calling around for assistance my friend finally found Helping Hand House which was able to assist. It was around Christmas time when they found H.H.H and even though all the paperwork wasn’t complete the organization decided to go ahead and place them in an ’emergency’ home which already had furniture, food for a holiday dinner, and presents under a Christmas tree. What’s surprising are how many homeless shelters are at capacity, how many people are homeless (one person told them to sleep in the car on a certain street) and how difficult it was to find assistance. H.H.H. is helping the individual to get back on their feet so they can get their job back and have enough money to get into their own place again. My friend wants to give back to this organization for all they’ve done and through the owner, and their friend, of this restaurant that’s what they plan to do. Skip making dinner for a night and try something new while helping the Helping Hand House organization.”
